MRS. CAROLINE B. GREENE

SMITHVILLE

   Mrs. Caroline B. Greene, wife of Harry H. Greene, died at Brookside Crest Sanitarium, Sherburne, Thursday evening after several years' illness.  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Seymour Funeral Home.  The Rev. Howard Deller officiated and burial was made in Warn Ten Broeck cemetery.

   Bearers were Dewitt Thompson, Horace Willcox, Joseph Rounds, Wallace Stanton, James Kilroy and George Roach.

   Mrs. Greene was born in the town of Smithville, the daughter of Paris and Betsy Knickerbocker Willcox.  She was married twice.  Her first husband, Howard Van Auken, died 17 years ago.

   Her second husband, Harry H. Greene, survives, together with two daughters and two sons by her first marriage.  The daughters are Mrs. John Fitzgerald, Oxford; Mrs. Carol Wilcox, Guilford and the sons, Paris Van Auken, Greene, and Frank Van Auken, Oxford.  Three brothers also survive, Rector Willcox, Oxford; Eugene Willcox, Greene, and Dell Willcox, Smithville.
