MRS. GILBERT J. PARKER

   The death of Barbara Justice, wife of Gilbert J. Parker, occurred early Saturday morning, April 3, after a lingering disease that had confined her to her home for several weeks.  Her demise occurred on the 25th anniversary of the death of her father.

   Mrs. Parker was the daughter of William A. and Ann Padgett Justice, and was born in this town on the 10th of October, 1844.  Her married to Mr. Parker occurred Sept. 5, 1871, and after a residence of two years in Coventry they moved to the present home on Washington avenue in this village.  Her mother's parents were among the early settlers of this town and were of English descent.

   The subject of this sketch was a woman of strong personality and she will be missed by her many friends who extend Mr. Parker their heartfelt sympathy.  Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Nelson H. Justice of Lawton, Oklahoma, and David H. Justice of Kansas City, Mo. one niece, Mrs. Edith Moore of Madison, Va., and a nephew, who resides in Kansas City.
  
   The funeral was held at the home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Paul Riley Allen of Norwich and Dr. Inman L. Willcox, officiating.  Interment was at Riverview cemetery.
