Apgar C. Rogers

   Aurelius D. Rogers of this village has received news of the death of his brother, Apgar C. Rogers, aged 63 years, which occurred at Springfield, Mass., New Year's evening.

   Mr. Rogers was born on Rogers street in Preston and for a number of years resided in this town, where he attended Oxford Academy.  He had been an employee of the Springfield post office for 32 years, having lived in that city 35 years.  He entered the office in 1882 and was a clerk for some time.  For a number of years he had been in charge of the special delivery men.  He is survived by a wife, two daughter, and two brothers, Benton Rogers of Hinsdale, N. Y., and Aurelius Rogers, of this village.  Mr. Rogers was a member of Hampden Lodge of Masons and Hampden Lodge of Odd Fellows.
