Orange Hotchkiss

   The funeral of Orange Hotchkiss, who died of a heart attack Saturday night at his home on the Oxford-McDonough road, was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Seymour Funeral parlors.  The Rev. W. C. Gates officiated and burial was made in Riverview cemetery.

   Mr. Hotchkiss was born in Smithville, April, 1853, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Hotchkiss.  In 1875 he was united in marriage to Delett Gale, who preceded him in death two years ago.  Most of his life was spent in Smithville.  He came to this section 16 years ago.

   Surviving him is one son, Guy Hotchkiss, with whom he lived; one sister, Jennie Hotchkiss of Binghamton besides several nieces and nephews.
