DOUBLE WEDDING
(1907)
Which United Young People Well Known in Norwich and Vicinity
Norwich, Dec. 27.-A double wedding event of interest to people in Norwich, Oxford and Plymouth, took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allie Whitmore, in the town of Plymouth, Christmas night, when their sister, Miss Elva G. Whitmore was united in marriage to Claude A. Clark, of Norwich, and Miss Mina J. Strawn, of Oxford, was joined in wedlock to their brother, Clarence W. Whitmore. The house was prettily decorated for the event and the ceremonies took place under an arch of evergreens, Rev. Wilson Treible officiating in the presence of about 50 guests. An elaborate wedding supper was served. The wedding gifts were many, both useful and beautiful.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark will reside for the present in Norwich south of this village and Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore will make their home in Oxford. Many friends extend congratulations and best wishes.
