Hiram B. Cowles

   At last, after a long and painful illness, Hiram B. Cowles is as rest; he passed away like a child going to sleep in its mother's arms.  The funeral, under the auspices of the Masonic Fraternity, was held on Tuesday afternoon from the Congregational church.  Hiram B. Cowles was born at Greene, Chenango County, N. Y., April 1, 1835 and died May 2, 1887.   He came to Princeton in 1863.  He is survived by his wife and two children.
