PAULINE PORTER
Miss Pauline Porter died at her home on Albany street Sunday evening, October 12, 1919, after an illness of a few weeks.
Miss Porter was the daughter of the late Milo and Abagail L. Porter his wife, and was born in the town of Smithville November 17, 1843. When she was about ten years of age her parents removed to this village. Her education was received in the schools of this town and finished in the old Oxford Academy of which she was a graduate. She became a member of the Congregational church of this village and was always identified with its work and advancement.
She took an active interest in the work of the several church societies and was ready with hands or money to do her part. As she had spent her entire life in this village, she became very well known and enjoyed the respect and confidence of a great many.
She is survived by her brother, Walker Porter of Oxford, and two nephews, E. F. Small and Theodore A. Small, and a niece, Mrs. Merritt A. Havens all of Wooster, Mass.
Funeral services were held at her home on Albany street on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Inman L. Willcox officiating. Burial was made in Riverview cemetery.
