Death of Sherburne Principal

The death in Sherburne of Prof. Herbert W. Butts, principal of the High school and prominent county educator, which occurred Wednesday night from typhoid fever, has cast a gloom over the town. He was a native of New Berlin, 54 years old, and a man of superior character. He is survived by his wife and several brothers and sisters.
Prof. Butts was one of the judges at the prize speaking contest of Oxford Academy, April 8. He made the report for the judges, in which he paid high tribute to the work of the contestants.
