Fred H. Burchard Died Last Night

   The business community was shocked Monday morning to learn that Fred H. Burchard of the firm of Burchard Bros. Co. was stricken with apoplexy.  Mr. Burchard is one of the foremost business men of Norwich and is widely acquainted throughout the county and in Oxford, his native town.

   Mr. Burchard was stricken at the breakfast table.  He arose at an early hour and was apparently in the best of health and spirits.  Although an active and hard working businessman, he had not been working unusually hard of late and so far as is known had been under no extraordinary strain.

   Dr. Rober was called immediately.  A trained nurse and the members of Mr. Burchard's family are doing everything in their power for him.  Late yesterday Mr. Burchard had not gained consciousness and his condition is serious.

   Mr. Burchard died at 9:30 last evening.  The funeral will be held at Emmanuel church, Norwich, at 10:45 Friday morning.
