In Memory of Miss Gertrude Morse
(Nov. 30, 1910)

   Miss Gertrude E. Morse, formerly of Whitney Point, who had been in poor health for several years, died in Binghamton Thursday morning, November 3, at the age of 43.  The funeral was held on Saturday and burial was at Greene.

   Miss Morse was highly respected by all who knew her and had many friends in this place who were saddened to hear of her death.

   She had been a faithful member of the Baptist church for many years and was ever ready to do what she could in the Master's service.

   She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Adelia Boyden; one sister, Mrs. Beckwith of Cincinnatus; two brothers, Charles Morse of Binghamton and Arthur Morse.  She was also a niece of J. C. Philley of Oxford.

As Jesus died and rose again
   Victorious from the dead;
His disciples rise, and reign
   With their triumphant Head.

The saints of God, from death set free
   With joy shall mount on high;
The heavenly hosts with praises loud
   Shall meet them in the sky.

Together to their Father's house
   With joyful hearts they go;
And dwell forever with the Lord,
   Beyond the reach of woe.
A few short years of evil past,
   We reach the happy shore
Where death-divided friends at last
   Shall meet to part no more.
