FUNERAL LARGELY ATTENDED
Employes of Clark, Conroy & Co., of Norwich Attend in Body

As noted in The Times last week the death of Luverne B. Stratton occurred Tuesday, November 8, at his home on Clinton street.
Mr. Stratton was 46 years of age, having been born in Coventry, on August 4, 1864. His parents were E. Ross and Hannah Symonds Stratton, who until death lived in Coventry, Brisbin and South Oxford. Mr. Stratton was marred to Cora Church daughter of Erwin J. Church of Oxford on December 5, 1888. About 15 years ago he entered the employ of the F. G. Clarke Blue Stone Co., in this village, remaining till the plant closed down three or four years ago, since which time he had been employed by Clarke, Conroy & Co. in Norwich as a blacksmith. While employed in Norwich he daily went from his home in this village to that place, making long hours of absence from his home and family.
Besides his wife, Mr. Stratton is survived by five children, Claude C. Stratton of New York; Clara, Ross, Albert and Elizabeth, who reside at home; and one sister, Mrs. A. H. Wheeler, of Mt. Upton and two brothers, Curtis Stratton of Smithville, and George Stratton of Buffalo.
The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the house, Rev. Dr. Willcox of the Congregational church officiating. Independent hose company and a large delegation from the Clarke, Conroy & Co.'s works in Norwich attended the funeral in a body. Burial in Riverview cemetery.
