Clarence N. Bowers
Clarence N. Bowers died at the E. J. Medical hospital in Johnson City on January 2, 1925, aged 48 years.
The deceased was the son of Worthington and Lizzie Wackford Bowers. He was born in Oxford and lived the greater part of his life in this village until about sixteen years ago he went to Johnson City where he has since resided, working as a machinist for the E. J. company.
He has been a great sufferer for nearly a year, yet patient through it all ever trusting in the all wise guidance of his Saviour. He has entered into rest eternal.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie; a son, Clyde; two daughters, Marion and Ona; his mother, Mrs. Nelson Beck of Endicott and a sister, Mrs. Harry Blakeslee of Afton.
The funeral was held at the home in Johnson City, Sunday, January 4, at 1:30 p. m., Rev. William Crandall officiating. The body was placed in the receiving vault in Floral Park cemetery and later burial will be made in Oxford.
