Mrs. Azalia Barber Coggshall

It is with the sympathy of the community we record the passing to her eternal home of Mrs. Azalia Barber Coggshall in New York City, on April 2nd, 1917.

Mrs. Coggshall was born in New Berlin, Chenango county, N. Y., and was a daughter of the late Prof. D. G. Barber.

She spent her girlhood in this town, but has lived for the past twenty years in New York, often visiting her old home in Oxford.  Wherever she went Mrs. Coggshall gained a host of friends.  Her sunny nature, winning personality, and her absolute forgetfulness of self, gave her the unswerving loyalty of all those with whom she came in contact.  No task was too great, no labor too wearisome for her loving hands to take up.  Throughout her life her one thought was to bring comfort and cheer to others at the expense of her own time and strength.

Mrs. Coggshall is survived by her sister, Mrs. Carrie Barber Keyes of 261 West 21st street, New York.

The remains were brought her and funeral services held at the home of Thomas M. Dunning on Friday last, Rev. F. P. Braman pastor of the Baptist Church officiating.  Interment in the family plot in Riverview cemetery.
