Married 50 Years or Over

   The William Breese company of Norwich is celebrating the anniversary of fifty years in business in that city.  It invited every couple in the county who have been married for fifty years to call at its place of business with their wedding certificate and receive a five dollar gold piece with the compliments of the company.  Over twenty couples called on Saturday.  Among them were Mr. and Mrs. Smith A. Eddy, married November 4, 1868; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wheeler, married December 25, 1861; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams married October 17, 1871; Mr. and Mrs. Delos Eells, married October 19, 1875; Mr. and Mrs. William Merritt, married January 22, 1871, all of Oxford.
